The Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL) School Age 6-18 enables practitioners to efficiently obtain standardised ratings and descriptive details of children's functioning as seen by parents (using the CBCL 6-18) and teachers (using the TRF 6-18).
The Youth Self Report (YSR) 11-18 Form also obtains the youth's view of their own functioning.
The TRF 6-18 DSM 5-Oriented Profiles were constructed by having experienced child psychiatrists and psychologists from 16 cultures rate the consistency of ASEBA school-age items with DSM-5 categories.
The scales are:
- Affective Problems
- Anxiety Problems
- Somatic Problems
- Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Problems
- Oppositional Defiant Problems
- Conduct Problems.
Inattention and Hyperactivity-Impulsivity subscales are also scored from the TRF Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Problems scale.
The DSM-5 oriented scales serve as supplements to the empirically based scales for users who wish to view item scores in relation to DSM-5 categories as well as in relation to empirically based syndromes.
