PASA Assessment Materials Kit

The Pattern and Structure Assessment (PASA) is a one-on-one assessment used to provide teachers with diagnostic information about how children think about mathematical ideas to inform teaching, not just on what mathematics children can and cannot do.

By knowing how children approach tasks, teachers can plan and scaffold individual learning experiences.

The PASA Assessment Materials Kit contains a set of reusable stimulus materials for use when administering the assessment.

Materials include:

• 14 loose blocks (7 red and 7 yellow)
• 16 loose blocks (4 green, 4 blue, 4 orange and 4 purple)
• A line of connected blocks (green-blue-orange)
• 20 ten frames
• $10 play money note
• A blackline masters template for paper strips
• 6 cardboard dividers
