Content:

The SDS is a self-administered, self-scored, and self-interpreted career counselling tool which yields six scores based on Holland's theory of careers. It is used extensively to explore career options.

The Australian edition has undergone a major revision to incorporate changes that have occurred in the workplace over the last twenty years:

  • New items reflecting changes in technology and the world of work
  • Occupations in the Occupations Finder have been revised and linked to the revised Australian Standard Classification of Occupations (ASCO II)
  • Instructions have been modifi ed for easier completion
  • Expanded Australian Manual includes more interpretive information
